Mr. Barrella holds a bachelors degree in Management Systems from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a Master's degree in secondary education from Hofstra University. He also holds a Master's degree in Educational Leadership. Additionally, Tom has passed the New York Life, Accident & Health Insurance exam and national Series 7 exam but does not practice in the insurance or financial planning fields.
Prior to becoming an educator, Mr. Barrella co-founded the technology company Radiant Systems. Radiant went public in 1997 and was purchased in 2011 for $1.2 billion by NCR Corporation. |
Investeens was started by Mr. Tom Barrella, a leading teen investing educator who teaches his Investment Decision Making course to about 100 students each year and advises another 50 students as members of the Investment Club at Syosset High School on New York's Long Island. Mr. Barrella also teaches a college-level course in corporate finance at Syosset.
